Cancellation & No-Show Policy
Effective Date: September 22, 2026
At Pivotal Point Acupuncture & Wellness Center LLC, appointment times are reserved specifically for each patient. We understand that plans can change, and we appreciate as much notice as possible when you need to cancel or reschedule.
1. 24-Hour Cancellation Policy
We require at least 24 hours' notice when canceling or rescheduling an appointment.
You may cancel or reschedule your appointment through the available appointment-scheduling options provided by Pivotal Point or by contacting us directly.
2. Late Cancellations
Appointments canceled or rescheduled with less than 24 hours' notice may be considered a late cancellation.
A late-cancellation fee of up to the full value of the scheduled appointment may apply.
The applicable fee may vary based on the circumstances.
3. No-Shows
If you do not attend your scheduled appointment and do not provide notice, the appointment may be considered a no-show.
A no-show fee of up to the full value of the scheduled appointment may apply.
4. Emergencies and Unexpected Circumstances
We understand that emergencies and unexpected circumstances can occur.
If an emergency or other significant circumstance prevents you from providing 24 hours' notice, please contact us as soon as reasonably possible.
Pivotal Point may use discretion when determining whether a cancellation or no-show fee should apply based on the circumstances.
5. Repeated Late Cancellations or No-Shows
Repeated late cancellations or no-shows may result in additional scheduling requirements, including requiring a deposit or payment in advance before future appointments can be reserved.
Pivotal Point reserves the right to determine appropriate scheduling requirements on a case-by-case basis.
6. Appointment Reminders
Pivotal Point may provide appointment reminders by text message, email, telephone, or through our appointment scheduling system.
You are responsible for keeping your contact information current and for monitoring appointment reminders.
Failure to receive or notice a reminder does not necessarily eliminate the 24-hour cancellation requirement.
7. Payment for Missed Appointments
Pivotal Point is a self-pay practice and does not bill health insurance for services.
Any applicable late-cancellation or no-show fee, up to the full value of the scheduled appointment, is the patient's responsibility.
Where you have provided an authorized payment method, Pivotal Point may charge the applicable fee in accordance with this policy and applicable law.
A balance resulting from a late cancellation or no-show may need to be paid before another appointment is scheduled.
8. Questions
If you have questions about this policy or need to cancel or reschedule an appointment, please contact Pivotal Point Acupuncture & Wellness Center LLC.
